Quality Control Inspector - Now Hiring

Job Description

The Manufacturing QC is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in the production of trading cards. This role involves inspecting trading cards for defects, verifying that all products meet established quality standards, and documenting any discrepancies. The specialist will collaborate closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with company and industry standard

Quality Control Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)

  • Inspecting and Testing:

    · Perform detailed inspections of trading cards, checking for defects such as misprints, color inconsistencies, alignment issues, surface damage, and incorrect cutting to ensure they meet specified standards.

    · Monitor the assigned area to ensure products are according to customer specifications.

    · Develop and maintain inspection procedures and protocols.

    · Perform thorough inspections of materials to ensure they meet specified requirements and quality standards.

    · Perform sample testing of packaged card to verify collection, alignment, and adherence to customer or internal specifications.

    Quality Inspections and Documentation:

    · Accurately record findings from inspections, including detailed descriptions of any defects and the number of affected items, in compliance with quality control procedures.

    · Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.

    · Document any defects, deviations, and corrective actions taken.

    · Accurate document inspection results, including any defects or deviations found during the processes.

    · Conduct regular quality audits to identify and address potential issues.

    · Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in the database of quality checks.

    · Report any non-conformities to the Lead or Manufacturing Supervisor.

    Problem Identification and Resolution:

    · Identify defects, inconsistencies, or non-conformities in materials and determine the root cause.

    · Collaborate with machine operators and production supervisors to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.

    Collaboration:

    · Work collaboratively with production teams to meet or exceed production and quality targets.

    · Assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality issues to minimize downtime and waste.

    · Carry out additional manufacturing tasks as required by the Production Supervisor.

    · Provide training and guidance to new QCs in quality standards and inspection procedures.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    · Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency.

    Coordination with Other Departments:

    · Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a consistent and unified approach to quality management.

    Customer Focus:

    · Understand customer expectations and specifications.

    · Ensure that all products leaving the facility meet or exceed customer quality requirements.

Quality Control Shift Info

  • Night Shift, 10:00PM to 5:00AM with some overtime opportunities

  • Monday - Friday with some weekends

Quality Control Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

  • Skills/Experience:

    · Previous experience in a quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.

    · Strong attention to detail and observation skills.

    · Proficiency in reading and writing.

    · Familiarity with the alphabet.

    · Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    · Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.

    · Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams.

    · Required computer skills for data entry and report generation.

    · Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • GED / High School Diploma

  • Able to pass a background check

  • Must possess excellent communication skills

  • Strong understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing industry

  • Able to pass a background check

  • Able to work in the US.
