  • General Assembly Experience
  • Experience with robotic programming (Fanuc Kuka ABB)
  • Experience with Ethernet and/or Devicenet networks
  • Ability to program Allen Bradley from scratch
  • Experience with Eplan
  • Previous GM Experience / know GM standards
  • GCCH-1 Certification  GCCS-2 Certification


Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer for a large automotive customer a few different locations. The Controls Engineer will be helping with the optimization and automation across the plant and will be going on layout meetings, ensuring the project runs efficiently and is meeting deadlines, and troubleshooting on the production line as needed. Job Responsibilities:  New program implementation/execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off and buyoff)  Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts  Manage deliveries to program timing milestones  Provide project report outs to senior management  Existing program/site support (troubleshooting, etc.)  Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all customers/plants  Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers.  Design and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems  Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
