Litigation Paralegal
Our client, a leading Rocky Mountain law Firm seeks a full-time litigation paralegal with 8 plus years commercial litigation experience. The Litigation Paralegal will have experience in organization of case files, document control, discovery assistance, preparation of trial exhibits, notebooks deposition commercial litigation including: complex litigation, review and summaries and witness contact. The Litigation Paralegal assists attorneys by investigating facts, preparing legal documents, and managing case documents. Conducts research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense or to initiate legal action. Performs all duties under attorney supervision. Experience in the last 5 years preparing court filings and doing e-filing in PACER and Colorado state filings. The Litigation Paralegal should be able to handle case management from inception of case through trial, including: docketing case deadlines, monitoring case deadlines (and prompting attorneys along), drafting routine pleadings and discovery, including subpoenas, assisting attorneys with deposition and trial preparation as well as interactions with opposing counsel, experts and clients. The Litigation Paralegal must be a detail-oriented team player with excellent communication and organizational skills. The Litigation Paralegal should ideally have e-discovery experience in Relativity or a comparable software program. Competitive salary and benefits in a great working environment. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Paralegal role or similar legal support role.• Proficient in the use of Aderant and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is necessary.
• Familiarity with Case Management Software and CompuLaw.
• Ability to perform Billing Functions accurately and efficiently.
• Strong briefing skills and experience in Calendar Management.
• Have a background in Claim Administration.
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in Civil Litigation.
• Prior Civil Litigation Experience is a must.
