We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced individual to take on the role of Controller at our nonprofit healthcare client. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing financial oversight, developing their financial strategy, and maintaining the financial health of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, general ledger accounting, revenue recognition and grant accounting & reporting.
  • Coordinate and direct the development and preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
  • Prepare and publish timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Coordinate with auditors for the preparation for an annual audit.
  • Work closely with department managers to understand and manage costs.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.


• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a controller or similar role.

• Extensive experience within the healthcare industry, ideally with some non-profit experience as well

• Demonstrable expertise in managing all accounting Functions.

• Experience in handling the annual budgeting process

• Proficiency in month end close procedures.

• Knowledge and experience in grant accounting a huge plus.

• Ability to create and interpret financial reports.

• Experience in developing and interpreting dashboard metrics and creating reporting dashboards.

• Experience in creating and delivering Financial Presentations.
