Job Title: Physical Therapist

Location: Jackson, Mississippi

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Physical Therapist to join our team. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). We are looking for a dynamic professional who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students and promoting their physical well-being and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' physical therapy needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in individual or group settings, addressing mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and functional skills.
  • Collaborate with school-based teams, including special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals, to support students' educational goals and participation in school activities.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, documenting outes and municating with parents, teachers, and other team members.
  • Provide guidance and training to educational staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students' physical development and independence in the school environment.
  • Stay informed about best practices, research, and trends in pediatric physical therapy and participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure pliance with state and federal regulations, including licensure requirements, documentation standards, and confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Mississippi licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for licensure through the Mississippi State Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Certification in Pediatric Physical Therapy (preferred).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with diverse physical and developmental needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
