About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Clinton, Mississippi. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical therapy services to students with diverse needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor abilities, functional mobility, strength, and endurance.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to address students' unique needs and goals.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in various settings, including individual and group sessions, to improve motor skills, coordination, balance, and functional independence.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and parents, to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs and promote their active participation in school routines and activities.
  • Monitor student progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided, progress notes, and outcomes data in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide guidance and education to school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students' physical development, safety, and well-being in the school environment.
  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in pediatric physical therapy and participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Mississippi licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for licensure through the Mississippi State Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Certification in Pediatric Physical Therapy (preferred).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with diverse physical and developmental needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
