Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Test Technician to join our team on the day shift from 8am-5pm (flexibility available). The successful candidate will assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of machinery and tools, ensuring the efficient and safe testing of mechanical parts and components.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of machinery and tools.
  • Help with the organization and inventory management of raw materials and parts.
  • Ensure tools and machines are in working condition by performing routine maintenance checks and reporting issues.
  • Support the assembly and testing of parts and components.
  • Pick up and deliver parts within a 50-mile radius as needed using the company vehicle.
  • Operate forklift (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Keep track of inventory and stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Basic understanding of machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to operate machinery safely.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
  • Experience in mechanical testing.
  • Experience as a machine operator or test operator.
  • Experience in production, assembling, and using power tools.
  • General labor experience.

Work Environment

Work is typically performed in a mechanical testing lab setting with exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and equipment. Adherence to strict safety regulations is required at all times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00
