We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland. This role primarily involves managing accounts payable and related documentation, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately. The ideal candidate will have skills in Accounts Payable (AP), sorting incoming mail, maintaining vendor files, and processing vendor invoices.


Responsibilities:


• Manage all accounts payable for payment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Handle incoming mail, stamping and sorting as required

• Maintain vendor files, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate

• Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring timely payment

• Contact departments and vendors regarding any old outstanding invoices for verification of unpaid, lost or billed invoices

• Receive and organize statements from vendors, verifying payment of any invoices listed as outstanding

• Balance property accounts with statements, ensuring accuracy

• Maintain all documentation related to accounts payable transactions.

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.

• Proficient in managing accounts payable.

• Ability to sort incoming mail in an organized manner.

• Experience in maintaining vendor files and ensuring they are always up-to-date.

• Proven track record of processing vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Ability to prepare invoices following the company's procedures and guidelines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

• Must have a strong ethical stance towards the confidentiality of financial information.
