Position: Special Education Teacher (24'25 School Year Contract)
Start Date: September 11, 2024
End Date: June 17, 2025
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: 27 students, Resource Room
Building: High School
Pay Range: $42 - $47 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in a high school resource room setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and other educational staff.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support student integration and success within the general classroom.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student progress and IEP documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices and stay current with special education best practices.
Requirements:
- Valid Special Education Certification.
- Experience working with high school students in a resource room setting preferred.
- Strong munication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and educational staff.
