Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHiring For Shop Helper in Anoka, MN Pay Up To $22/hr.

SEEKING IMMEDIATE CANDIDATES

Job Description

• Smooth out rough edges and polish metal using a hand grinder.
• Cross train into basic fabrication, cutting metal to length using a tape measure.
• Operate brake press and spot welding equipment.
• Buff and rack items for paint.
• Assist in various departments including assembly, packaging, and paint.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude through previous work experience, school, or hobbies.
• Experience with sheet metal and grinding.
• Measurement skills and basic math proficiency.
• Experience working with hand and power tools, welding, fabrication, and sheet metal.
• 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in reading tape measures.
• Shop class experience such as welding, automotive, woodworking, or machine/tool.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large manufacturing facility that is fast-paced and can be somewhat physical. The work environment is self-motivated, with no temperature control, so it can get hot in the summer. The campus is smoke-free.
