Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift available
Education Requirement: High School Diploma/GED
The Engine Assembly Technician will perform critical disassembly, assembly, inspection, and testing of locomotive traction motor combo components. Working hands-on with advanced manufacturing equipment, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivering superior products.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and procedures.
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble locomotive traction motor combo components.
Operate manual and automated equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
Inspect work components to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Maintain accurate documentation for completed processes.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities.
Provide training and support to team members.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by team leaders.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical certification.
Experience with inspection measurement equipment and analytical testing.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and quality procedures.
Fork truck and overhead crane operation experience.
Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

Pay Details: 20.00 per hour
Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan. Our benefit offerings provide employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs.
