Diesel Technician

The Remanufacturing Service Technician will be responsible for disassembling, assembling, inspecting, repairing, and testing locomotive traction motor components.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work in compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Inspection and Repair: Perform thorough inspections of locomotive traction motor components to identify areas requiring repair or replacement.
- Component Disassembly and Reassembly: Carefully disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing of repaired components to ensure compliance with quality and engineering standards.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $49,280, based on an hourly rate of $19.00. Requirements- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- Manufacturing Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Additional Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree or Technical Certification, knowledge of EHS procedures and policies, experience using inspection measurement tools and equipment, ability to lift and handle tools/materials up to 50 lbs, forklift and overhead crane operation experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
