Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Assistance and Instructional Support: Directly working with students either one-on-one or in groups to provide guidance and support within the classroom.
  • Student Assistance: Providing assistance to students with special needs, including physical, emotional, or learning challenges. This may involve giving personalized attention, facilitating communication, or implementing tailored educational plans.
  • Collaboration with Teachers
  • Behavioral Support: Assisting students in behavior management, implementing behavior plans, and encouraging positive behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional is a plus.
  • Experience working with children with special needs through babysitting, tutoring, or childcare is valued.
  • Must be comfortable providing personal care assistance, including toileting, feeding, and diapering.
