Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bench Electronics Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing electronic and electromechanical devices, performing quality testing on new and repaired devices, and managing inventory. You will log findings and repairs, program BIOS and revision levels according to specifications, and create cables and electronic boards as necessary.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills
  • Ability to repair, troubleshoot, and assemble electronics.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering equipment.
  • Experience with schematic diagrams, PCB, and circuit board testing.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
  • 1 to 2 years of soldering experience at the component level.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, emails, and notes.
  • Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Proficiency with electronic theory.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Experience working in environments with fumes, airborne particles, flammable, toxic, or caustic chemicals, and high-temperature tools.

Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic environment that involves handling electronic devices and components. Expect to work around fumes and airborne particles, as well as with flammable, toxic, or caustic chemicals and high-temperature tools. Basic computer skills are required for logging findings and repairs, and you will be expected to manage inventory efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
