We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an AR / Billing Clerk in the construction/contractor industry, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing customer invoices, as well as maintaining accurate records and assisting in monthly job reviews.


Responsibilities:


• Prepare and enter customer invoices meticulously.

• Review invoices to ensure they have the necessary approvals.

• Act as a backup for vendor setups.

• Maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

• Utilize excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.

• Assist in monthly job reviews and accruals.

• Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve customer inquiries.

• Handle account reconciliation, accounts receivable, billing, cash applications, and cash collections.

• Ensure a high degree of accuracy in all tasks performed.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Previous experience in Billing

• Understanding of Cash Applications

• Experience with Cash Collections

• Knowledge of Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Previous experience in the construction/contractor industry is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
