Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: North Carolina, Remote
Job Type: Fulltime, Work From Home
Pay: $45/Hour


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities through virtual platforms.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to students via telepractice, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' speech and language goals within the virtual learning environment.
  • Monitor and document students' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers on strategies for facilitating speech and language development at home.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including adherence to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and state licensing requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of North Carolina.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an SLP, preferably in a school setting.
  • Proficiency in conducting virtual assessments and delivering telepractice services.
  • Strong understanding of child development, communication disorders, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in a virtual environment.
