Job Title: Project Manager – On-Premise to Azure Migration (Mid-Level)

Contract Type: Long-term Contract

Location: Fully Remote (Preference for Charlotte, NC candidates or EST time zone)

Pay Rate: Up to $55 per hour


Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager with mid-level experience in leading cloud migration projects, specifically on-premise to Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in overseeing migration projects and a solid understanding of cloud technologies. As a fully remote position, candidates from the Charlotte, NC area or those in the Eastern Time Zone are preferred to align with project schedules.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end migration of on-premise systems to Microsoft Azure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT infrastructure, application development, and cloud engineering, to plan, execute, and monitor migration tasks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Coordinate testing, cutover, and transition to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices for data security, reliability, and scalability during migration.
  • Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving any migration-related issues.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager in IT, with a focus on cloud migration projects.
  • Proven experience with on-premise to Azure migrations, including knowledge of Azure architecture, data migration, and cloud services.
  • Strong project management skills, with expertise in managing project schedules, budgets, and risk.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Work Schedule:

The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone to facilitate collaboration with the team.
