We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team, on a PT basis in Tucson, Arizona. This role falls within the healthcare industry and is a key part of our records management function. The role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, which involves the use of a range of specialized software and skills to manage customer accounts and inquiries. The client is open to candidates working hybrid (remotely and on-site)


Responsibilities:


• Billing within behavioral health experience

• Managing and overseeing accounts receivable (AR) to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping.

• Handling appeals and claim administration, ensuring all customer inquiries and disputes are resolved promptly and satisfactorily.

• Performing billing functions and benefit functions, ensuring all customer accounts are up-to-date and all benefits are properly accounted for.

• Utilizing your knowledge of medical billing to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our record-keeping and billing processes.

• Possess a minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Billing Specialist

• Proficient in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)

• Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM and Epaces

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Billing Functions

• Demonstrated expertise in Claim Administration

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; further training in Medical Administration is a plus.
