Responsibilities

The Medical Support Specialist will provide specific nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This individual will be responsible for preparing hospital rooms for new admissions, anticipating patient needs, and responding to patient requests in a timely and appropriate manner.

Additionally, the successful candidate will perform patient rounding according to unit-specific guidelines, provide care that is intentional and patient-focused, and ensure that the environment is orderly and comfortable. They will approach patients and families with compassion and offer emotional support while demonstrating courtesy, respect, and professionalism.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.)
  • Licensure/Certification: CPR Certification
  • Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the hospital environment and have previous experience in healthcare settings. They must also be at least 18 years old, able to work variable shifts, holidays, and weekends, and perform required duties using proper body mechanics.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Tenet-AZ Region offers a competitive compensation package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
