We are seeking a Maintenance Technician on a contract basis for up to 4 months. This role requires working the 3rd shift (10 PM-7 AM) from Sunday to Wednesday, with additional hours on Thursday (8-10 hours). The pay range is $30-50/hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will cover for a leave of absence at a company that manufactures knives and saw blades for the wood cutting industry.
- Responsibilities include mechanical repair, electrical repair, and basic facilities maintenance in an old plant built in the 1800s.
- The largest blades are 84 inches in diameter, and knives range from 1 lb to 100 lbs.
- The maintenance work relies heavily on tribal knowledge due to the lack of a formal PM system.
