Job Title: Special Education Teacher (K-12 Caseload)
Location:Lansing, MI

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Competitive Hourly and Weekly Pay

We are hiring a Special Education Teacher to join our team This full-time position will allow you to work with K-12 students, developing individualized education plans and supporting students with a range of learning needs. If you are passionate about helping students reach their full potential, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for K-12 students.
  • Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to support student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting plans and goals as needed.
  • Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide both academic and social-emotional support to students with disabilities.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school team collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field required.
  • Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License.
  • Experience working with K-12 students with varying disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, case management, and compliance with special education laws.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
