Job Posting: Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager

Pay: $64hr to $67hr depending on experience level
Additional Hours: Month-end and year-end weeks may require 50-60 hours.

Location: Remote, Must work CST hours

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to take responsibility for high-level financial reporting to senior finance management and external entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role includes both internal and external reporting, analysis, and managing financial accounting projects.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Prepare and enter closing journal entries during month-end close, focusing on complex reserves and accrual calculations.

  • Analyze month-end results and provide variance explanations.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to internal management and corporate.

  • Maintain accurate financial statements consistent with reporting guidelines and GAAP.

  • Prepare account reconciliations for assigned accounts and provide reporting/analysis on reconciled accounts.

  • Lead and manage special projects and ad hoc financial reporting.

  • Mentor accounting staff and provide technical expertise.

  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related professional accounting experience preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CMA or CPA license preferred.

  • Advanced Excel and PC skills required; SAP experience preferred.

  • Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues to completion.

  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • May require extensive sitting and computer use.

  • Flexibility to work beyond a 40-hour week during month-end and year-end weeks to meet business needs.



Pay Details: $64.00 to $67.00 per hour
