Location: Douglas, Massachusetts
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay: 35 Starting Depending On Experience
Are you a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a passion for making a difference? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced educator to work with 2nd-5th grade students in a supportive school environment in Douglas, MA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to impact the lives of students with severe needs while collaborating with a passionate team of educators.
Position Details:- Grade Levels: 2nd-5th
- Caseload: 9 students with diverse learning needs
- License Requirement: Valid Massachusetts Severe Needs Teaching License
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with severe needs.
- Provide targeted instruction and interventions tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure the success of students in an inclusive environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as necessary to support academic and social growth.
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
- Valid Massachusetts Severe Needs Teaching License (required).
- Experience working with students with severe disabilities, preferably at the elementary level.
- Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
