Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW): Obtained from an accredited program, fulfilling Michigan's educational requirements.
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW): Must hold a current Michigan LMSW license or be eligible for licensure to practice as a social worker in the state.
  • Michigan School Social Worker (SSW) Certification: Required to work in Michigan schools, this certification is specific to educational professionals, including social workers.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience working as a social worker in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and administrators.
