Job Description

Our client is a corrugated sheet manufacturer and one of the largest independent producers supplying the Midwest packaging industry. This manufacturer in New Carlisle, IN is searching for forklift operators to assist in their shipping/receiving and production functions. This role involves operating both forklifts and clamp trucks across different shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a sit-down propane forklift, spending 95% of the day on the forklift.
  • Stage materials in the warehouse.
  • Load and unload truck shipments.
  • Label orders.
  • Replenish products for machine lines.
  • Manually lift boxes as needed.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience.
  • Computer proficiency as forklifts are equipped with computers for load planning.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with Just-In-Time (JIT) deliveries.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience moving materials without a pallet.
Work Environment

This role offers various shifts, including 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:00am). The 2nd shift provides a $3/hr shift bonus, starting at $20.21/hr with an additional dollar raise after 30 days, while the 3rd shift offers a $2/hr shift bonus, starting at $19.21/hr with an additional dollar raise after 30 days. The work environment is fast-paced, and the job requires operating forklifts equipped with computers for load planning.
