Payroll Administrator
LHH Recruitment is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator with 2 or more years of experience for a temp to hire opportunity at a well-established construction company in Nassau County. This is a great contract-to-hire role that offers the opportunity to work with a results-oriented and dedicated team.
The role is to prepare and input weekly payroll data to ensure proper and timely payment to both union and non-union employees, including proper deductions and payments for multi-state payrolls across the country.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees.
• Review and ensure accuracy of approved time sheets.
• Coordinate wage discrepancies/pay changes with management team.
• Track and deduct garnishments and other special payroll deductions.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of administrative payroll experience with increasing responsibility.
Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and in-house payroll systems.
Detailed oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast- paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills along with very strong organizational skills.
Proven experience in a comparable role, preferably with a Construction Management/General Contracting company.
Sage 100 system/QuickBooks Pro or in-house payroll processing system knowledge preferred.
Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Knowledge of different Local Unions.
Comfortable handling Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wages.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and regulations
Hours: 8am-4pm
This is a temp to hire opportunity and when perm will pay upwards of $68K
Hourly rate $28-$30
Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
