Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team at Gramercy Group Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify timekeeping information to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Calculate and process employee salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and labor laws affecting payroll, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed by management, providing insights into payroll operations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues, ensuring seamless payroll processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a comparable role, preferably with a construction management/general contracting company.
  • Sage 100 system/Quickbooks Pro or in-house payroll processing system knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of different Local Unions and comfort with handling Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wages.
