We are looking for a skilled Project Accounting Clerk performs a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. Project Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling financial statements.

A successful Project Accounting Clerk should be familiar with construction accounting procedures.  A successful Project Accounting Clerk will ensure that the project's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable/Payroll experience preferred
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must be familiar with construction accounting processes, specifically: Payroll, Owner Billing, Processing Change Orders.
  • Must have strong work ethics
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch, Viewpoint experience a plus
  • Ability to type 60-65 wpm
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelines

Essential Job Duties:

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to entry into accounting system
  • Reconcile labor timesheets and enter daily.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurate.

$23/hr to $27/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
