2024-2025 Special Education Paraprofessional (Full Time) Near Whitefield, ME
Job Type: Contract, Full-time
Start Date: ASAP- End of School Year

ProCare Therapy is looking to fill a Paraprofessional contract job inJefferson, ME.This is a full-time position with weekly pay As a paraprofessional you will be working with K-8th students in a behavior program. Additional caseload details will be discussed during the interview. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team and contribute to the success of our students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with supervision, activities and students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
  • Candidates should understand students with behavioral and mental health needs in public school setting
  • Help develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
  • Assist with behavioral management and support a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Ed Tech Authorization (Required)
    • School district will accept pending status
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Must have an understanding of students with behavioral and mental health needs in public school setting.

Pay and Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $17-23+. (Pay Range dependent on candidates experience and school districts budget)
