Job Information
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: EOSY - Subject to Change
Hours: Full-time (0800 - 1600 or 0830 - 1630) Monday - Thursday
Caseload:Elementary
Class Size:Discuss during Interview
Location: Onsite
Additional Info: Learning Difficulties, ASD and Lower Cognitive Functioning

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored academic instruction using evidence-based methods, such as multisensory learning techniques.
  • Design individualized education programs to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and strategies.
  • Use positive reinforcement strategies to guide student behavior and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Maintain comprehensive records to meet local and federal compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curricula to support special education students.
  • Administer assessments to help diagnose learning disabilities and monitor academic progress.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional approaches to facilitate understanding of subject matter.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in special education or related discipline
  • Experience in a school environment is preferred but not required
  • Valid Coloradostate license -special education
  • Current state certifications/clearances
