Job Title: Associate Lathe Machinist III / Programmer

Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, including multi-axis lathes.

  • Independently process various metal types from raw stock to finished product.

  • Utilize advanced cutting tools and modern machining practices.

  • Plan and lay out work based on customer drawings and specifications.

  • Determine appropriate speeds, feeds, tolerances, and machining sequences for various machine tools.

  • Perform all machine setups and adjustments, including trial cuts as needed.

  • Finish metal components using manual and machine finishing techniques.

  • Accurately measure components using specialized instruments, including vernier calipers, micrometers, surface gages, profilometers, CMM, vision systems, and dial indicators.

  • Apply trigonometric calculations to determine complex angles and dimensions.

  • Use shop mathematics and standard handbook formulas to compute dimensions and plan work layouts.

  • Operate computers and necessary software, with proficiency in Fusion360 preferred; Mastercam is also acceptable.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 5 years of experience preferred, but not required.

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and maintain a good work ethic.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
