Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate gauges, meters, and control panels to control variations and operating conditions of the treatment process.
  • Record meter and gauge readings, and monitor the SCADA system to send commands via radio signal to make adjustments at water plants.
  • Operate and maintain valves, motors, pumps, and engines, either manually or by remote control, to ensure the efficient operation of the water treatment process.
  • Clean and maintain all aspects of the water treatment process, including ground storage tanks, aerators, filters, pumps, wells, and chemical rooms.
  • Extract samples and conduct routine laboratory tests, documenting and certifying test results.
  • Conduct change-out of chemical containers and associated equipment as needed, and check chloramine residuals onsite.
  • Calibrate chlorine analyzers and conduct scheduled plant inspections, certifying completion of such inspections in facility check sheets and log books.
Requirements:
  • High School graduation or GED equivalent.
  • Licensed Operators require one year of experience in water testing, operations, or closely related experience.
