Key Responsibilities- Anticipate and Meet Guest Needs: Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests to ensure a memorable and impactful experience.
- Prepare and Serve Beverages: Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, to guests in accordance with existing steps of service.
- Provide Exceptional Service: Provide prompt, efficient, and gracious service to guests, including artfully describing menu items, taking food and beverage orders, and using the point of sale computer system correctly.
- Manage Guest Checks: Correctly settle all guest checks in accordance with cash and payment handling policies.
- Monitor and Maintain Cleanliness: Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all service areas in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Work Safely and Efficiently: Work quickly and safely at all times, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Age Requirement: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Experience: 12-24 months of current experience as a bartender in a resort environment.
- Certifications: Valid San Diego County Food Handlers Card and ability to communicate in English with vendors, guests, and staff.
- Barback Experience: 6 months of experience as a barback.
- Culinary Experience: Previous culinary experience.
- Education: High school graduate or GED-equivalent.
- Certifications: Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service, certification in alcohol awareness program, and certification in CPR.
- Physical Activities: Frequent or occasional need to perform reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Frequent need to stand for long periods of time. Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Vision Requirements: Constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms' reach.
- Hearing Requirements: Constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public, and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
$16.00/hour + tips, medical, dental, and vacation benefits.
