Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at Lake Granbury Medical Center. This role offers a competitive sign-on bonus for qualified candidates who commit to a two-year tenure.

Position Summary:

The Medical Surgical unit is a vital part of our 73-bed acute care facility, focusing on the comprehensive care of patients with cardiac, renal, and neurological conditions. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care through the nursing process
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement appropriate interventions and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols
  • Educate patients and their families continuously
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing
  • Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • CPI training or willingness to complete within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Experience in Cardiac, Renal, Neuro, or telemetry nursing

Work Schedule:

  • Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with self-scheduling options
