Job SummaryThe Transfer Specialist is responsible for the safe and respectful transportation of deceased individuals. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Transport deceased individuals to funeral homes, crematories, or other designated locations
- Collaborate with funeral directors, coroners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processes
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and presentable condition
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks, including fueling and cleaning
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
- At least one year of experience in a related field, such as courier or driver
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights
- Basic computer skills and ability to use proprietary software
The Transfer Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with families, funeral directors, and other stakeholders. The role requires frequent travel, including local and out-of-town trips.
Service Corporation International offers a competitive salary range of $15.50-$19.25 per hour, as well as benefits for part-time associates working an average of 20 hours per week.
