Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and support to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Assist with staffing decisions, ensuring adequate coverage and skill mix to meet patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, other providers, and departments to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Monitor patient flow, adjusting staffing and resources as needed to optimize care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Current CA RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Kaweah Health-approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
- PALS certification within nine months of hire/transfer.
- ACLS certification within one year of hire/transfer.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) provider card within 18 months of hire/transfer.
- Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification within three years of hire/transfer.
- Nationally recognized certification per specialty Core Curriculum Pathway.
- BSN, MSN, or currently enrolled in RN-BSN program.
- Minimum of two years RN experience in specialty area.
