Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse PRN to join our Medical Telemetry team at Lee's Summit Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

About the Unit

Our 36-bed Medical Telemetry unit is a dynamic and challenging environment that offers a variety of acuity levels, including medical patients, abdominal surgical, general surgical, neuro, pulmonary, renal, and infection patients. With a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, you will have the opportunity to develop your critical thinking skills and provide individualized care to each patient.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor patients with acute changes in their condition
  • Interpret ECGs and note arrhythmias
  • Intervene in emergency situations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current state of Missouri RN licensure
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • BLS certification required at hire and maintained
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
