Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services to patients, including performing x-ray exams and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures, including x-ray exams, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Check requests for x-ray exams and special instructions, and greet patients and their family members in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • Explain procedures and x-rays to patients and obtain consent forms as needed.
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Set up and operate fluoroscopy, video, and overhead machines.
  • Develop skills in proper use of x-ray machines and demonstrate anatomy through proper positioning and techniques.
  • Know set up for certain procedures, such as myleograms, sialograms, arthrograms, Hystro, BE, GI modified BA swallows, venograms, etc.
  • Respond quickly and effectively in the event of a medical emergency or problems that arise.
  • Record procedures complete and verify images before going on to the next procedure.
  • Check for correct charges on requests and use markers at all times.
  • Maintain ASRT Certification and CT Licensure, and attend staff meetings and in-services.
  • Review mammography protocols and inform other mammography technologists of new MQSA regulations and/or equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Must achieve registration within one year of graduation and Connecticut State License.
  • 2 years X-Ray experience preferred.
  • Connecticut Licensure in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Registered in Radiologic Technology; responsible for maintaining CE credits for ARRT and Connecticut Licensure.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week. The schedule includes Mondays, Fridays, and every other weekend from 3:30-12.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $42.00 per hour. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
