As a qualified
Pit Loader Operator
, you will be tasked with the operation of mining and quarry equipment.
- Operate heavy machinery to enhance productivity while minimizing equipment wear.
- Accurately assess weight during loading processes and stockpile management.
- Engage in manual labor outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
- Conduct thorough pre and post-shift inspections and maintenance on machinery and work areas.
- Be available for off-shift and weekend work.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, alongside company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience operating heavy equipment is desirable.
- Experience in open pit mining operations and aggregate products is advantageous.
- MSHA training is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires various physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and grasping. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and tolerate extreme temperatures. The ability to wear respiratory and other personal protective equipment is essential.
