Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a Mammography Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography exams using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and apply compression devices as necessary, using tact and courtesy at all times.
  • Operate advanced digital mammography equipment and PACS, ensuring accurate and efficient image acquisition and processing.
  • Assist Radiologists with stereotactic and needle localization exams, providing high-quality images and supporting patient care.
  • Prepare procedure rooms for exams, maintain equipment, and troubleshoot diagnostic mammography and PACS equipment as needed.
  • Perform daily phantom QC in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and accurately.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, demonstrating a "Service First" approach and maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Participate in team problem-solving, contributing to improved patient care, department operations, image quality, and employee satisfaction.
  • Assume a leadership role in the absence of the Mammography Lead, ensuring continuity of department operations, QA, and QC procedures.
Requirements
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in mammography, preferably with a strong background in patient care and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and the ability to lift and move patients as needed. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergency call-backs.
