Position Summary

The Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a vascular neurologist to enhance our Comprehensive Stroke Program.

Our health system is recognized as one of the leading stroke care providers in the Northeast, serving as a key tertiary referral center for urgent large vessel occlusions. The Department also boasts a strong clinical research initiative and is a national frontrunner in investigator-led studies and clinical trials, including its role as a regional coordinating center in the NIH-funded StrokeNet. With over twenty current stroke and interventional specialists, we also support a vibrant neurology residency program along with three neurointerventional and three vascular neurology fellows annually.

The selected candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor (or higher, depending on experience) and will engage in clinical activities within the MSHS Stroke Program across our integrated system hospitals. This includes participation in the Inpatient Stroke Teaching Service, Stroke Consult Service, Outpatient Stroke Clinic, and the Telestroke Program. There will be ample opportunities and support for clinical or bench research interests.

The chosen candidates will collaborate with esteemed faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS). Our Department of Neurology is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach. Medical Degree from an accredited institution. Valid New York Medical License. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology. Completed ACGME fellowship training in Vascular Neurology or equivalent. A commitment to the mission of Mount Sinai and the communities served. Strong communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities. Capacity to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment. A solid work ethic and a desire to engage in a team-oriented, performance-driven health system.

Compensation ranges from $210,000 to $350,000 (excluding bonuses or incentive compensation).

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may be closer to one end of the range or, in some cases, may exceed the listed range. The salary range provided is for full-time positions and does not include bonuses or additional compensation.
