Job DescriptionThe Respiratory Therapy Assistant at Avera provides vital support in administering respiratory therapy according to the Respiratory Services Standards of Care and evaluates its effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering respiratory therapy as prescribed by physicians;
- Evaluating the effectiveness of respiratory therapy;
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in an A.M.A.-approved school of Respiratory Therapy;
- Possess a temporary Respiratory Therapist License or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) for the state of South Dakota;
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
