POSITION SUMMARY: The Subway Culinary Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the Subway Manager and Shift Leaders by delivering high-quality products to customers while fostering a positive work atmosphere. This position requires close collaboration with the Subway Manager, Shift Leader, and patrons.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Subway Manager and Shift Leaders in daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with Trexcon's policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with all team members.
- Adapt to changes and manage additional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility in daily activities.
- Support Trexcon's mission statement.
- Provide prompt and friendly service to customers.
- Engage with customers effectively.
- Follow established product recipes and formulas.
- Implement proper procedures for the preparation and baking of all bread products.
- Prepare backup items using the appropriate equipment.
- Operate all machinery in accordance with manufacturer and Subway guidelines.
- Conduct accurate daily inventory counts using the designated forms.
- Comply with all Subway and local Health and Safety regulations regarding food handling.
- Practice proper hand hygiene.
- Utilize gloves correctly.
- Maintain food products within safe temperature ranges.
- Store food items appropriately based on their type.
- Label opened and prepared food products with times and dates.
- Regularly assess products to remove any expired items.
- Record and monitor product temperatures on the required logs at least once per shift.
- Implement corrective measures for any products in the temperature danger zone.
- Receive deliveries from approved suppliers and verify all items against the invoice.
- Adhere to uniform standards.
- Manage and track all product inventory.
- Assemble customer orders accurately.
- Process monetary transactions efficiently at the register.
- Utilize the time clock correctly to log all working hours.
- Complete end-of-shift paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors.
- Ensure restrooms are kept clean.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Empty trash bins both inside and outside the establishment.
- Keep sidewalks and parking areas clean.
- Perform all necessary food adjustments.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Subway Manager or Shift Leader.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires extended periods of standing.
- Involves physical effort to lift, carry, pull, or push items over 10 lbs.
- May require occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing.
- Some travel may be necessary.
