Job Overview

This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software applications, architectures, and systems integration to automate business processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems analysis, design, and applications programming, with a focus on predictive modeling and data pipelines.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal staff and customers to develop database scripts against disparate data sources, and will have opportunities to publish work in collaboration with colleagues.

This position is a critical resource in developing and applying research informatics and engineering techniques to obtain, validate, standardize, and manage scientific and clinical concepts, data, and models.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, designs, builds, modifies, implements, tests, and debugs new or existing software applications, architectures, databases, and systems integration.
  • Prepares time lines, project plans, and flow charts for the development or enhancement of new and existing software application programs.
  • Translates models developed in other languages to Python and uses various tools such as Slate to facilitate the validation and implementation of predictive models into the electronic medical record.
  • Set up data pipelines for model consumption and Machine Learning operations to monitor models.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Slate, Docker, Jupyter Notebook, and Python.
