Telecommunications Utility Locator
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Utility Locator to join our team at TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group. As a Utility Locator, you will play a critical role in ensuring project safety and efficiency by accurately determining the location of underground utilities.
**Responsibilities:**
* Conduct site surveys to identify and mark the location of underground utilities.
* Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to detect and map underground utilities.
* Collaborate with construction crews, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate utility mapping and safe excavation practices.
* Record and document utility locations and any relevant information for future reference.
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
**Requirements:**
* 3+ years of utility locating experience in the telecommunications industry, including fiber, water, and sewer.
* Accountability and self-management with problem-solving skills.
* Ability to interpret mapping tools, coordinates, drawings, etc.
