Highly Skilled Space Software Developer Position Available

At Qualis Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Space Modeling and Simulation Software Developer to join our team.

About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge Modeling and Simulation development for the nation's space forces. As a Senior Space Modeling and Simulation Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software for space systems.
You will work closely with systems engineers to define software requirements and architectures, utilizing programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java for developing software applications. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting activities, document software designs, processes, and maintain version control systems.
Engage in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and deployment of software systems. Support mission-critical environments, ensuring code robustness and compliance with aerospace standards.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or a PhD is preferred. You should also have 12+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on aerospace or defense applications.
- Proficient in C++, Python, and Java with a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with satellite communication protocols and related software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must hold an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance.
