$40.00/hr

Shift:

5:45AM-6PM

Description:

5:45AM-6PM 3 days a week; every 3rd weekend.

Key Responsibilities:Patient Care:

Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.

Health Monitoring:

Regularly monitor residents' vital signs, health status, and overall well-being; report any changes to the healthcare team

Care Planning:

Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.

Medication Management:

Ensure accurate medication administration and management, including education for residents and families about medications.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Staff Training:

Provide guidance and training to nursing assistants and other staff on resident care and safety protocols

Emergency Response:

Act as the first responder in emergencies, providing necessary interventions and coordinating care with emergency services as needed.

Family Communication:

Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding health status, care plans, and any changes in condition.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in IA Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree may be considered Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in assisted living or long-term care Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team CPR and First Aid certification, Mandatory Reporter, employer will discuss other qualifications Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus (PCC)
