Job Title: Senior Estimator

Wanzek Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to lead large conceptual EPC bids and develop accurate estimates. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for managing bid teams, conducting site visits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead large conceptual EPC bids and develop accurate estimates
  • Manage bid teams and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct site visits and scope determination
  • Input data into computerized estimating systems
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize indirects and construction equipment
  • Recognize risks and apply contingency and escalation when appropriate
  • Collaborate with vendors and clients to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of construction estimating experience
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
  • Experience in contract negotiations and working with various vendors and clients
  • Ability to lead bids on a regular basis and manage bid teams
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
