Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate professional to work alongside experienced pediatric plastic surgeons, residents, and other PAs to provide exceptional care to children and their families.

The successful candidate will have the ability to perform first assists in the OR, conduct patient evaluations, enter procedure orders, round on inpatients, see new consultations, and document daily EHRs. The PA will also be responsible for coordinating patient discharge and answering questions from bedside RNs and pharmacy staff. Additionally, they will work collaboratively with attending physicians to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. About the Position

• Conduct comprehensive health history, physical assessments, and plans for infants, children, and young adults with acute and chronic health conditions
• Order and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, and perform other therapeutic or corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status
• Formulate family-centered plans of care, perform daily documentation as necessary, and collaborate with other team members
• Collect data and analyze when necessary, perform advanced procedures associated with credentialing process DOP, and utilize evidence-based practice for plan of care
• Serve as an educational resource to patient/family/nursing staff/provider team and other healthcare teams as needed
• Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competences, certifying body renewals, seeking educational offerings when available, and participating in the professional development of others
• Demonstrate commitment to patient safety by bringing up concerns in appropriate manner, reporting through appropriate channels, and ensuring change of practice when necessary
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as requested
