Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Opportunity at Medical City Dallas

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Medical City Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role

In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients. Your responsibilities will include performing diagnostic tests, administering therapies, and monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient condition and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in respiratory care principles and practices. You should hold a current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), or Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT). Additionally, you should possess basic cardiac life support certification and PALS pediatric advanced life support certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Compensation
